Keep Looking Up – Mixed Media Collage with Gold Leaf
This vintage photograph of a little girl laughing was the inspiration for this sweet little canvas. The little girl has a cute dress on, a hint of a bow in her hair and what looks like a corsage pinned to her bodice. She looks very happy and the words – keep looking up – seemed fitting. I hope it inspires you to do just that!
This is a mixed media collage which means that I’ve used different types of media to create it – such as acrylic paint, plaster and vintage book pages. The canvas has layers of plaster and black paint. It is flecked with gold leaf for a beautiful shine and the words – keep looking up – were cut from a vintage book.
Canvas measures 5 x 5″
It’s a gallery wrapped canvas so the sides are painted and there’s no need for a frame.
