Inner Constellation – Joy

This canvas is painted black and then layered with plaster. I etched words into the wet plaster which allowed some of the black background paint to show through. I then stitched some vintage faux pearls, still partially strung onto hand made paper and stitched it all to the canvas. The pearls form, what I call, an inner constellation. I imagine them as a way to guide us to find and relearn the paths of our inner landscapes. This is the 4th in the series and I call it joy.
