Hands are magical, beautiful things, aren’t they? This painting began with my desire to try and capture a little bit of their beauty.
This mixed media collage painting has layers of paint and paper, even some dried chai tea teabags! creating subtle texture. The hands are sketched in pencil and they cradle a watercolor circle. Pale blue, faded copper and a vintage map make up the geometric rays.
